History

Herb Shugrue and Jennifer Jackson are a father/daughter team based in Colorado. Together they have been practicing for over 60 years. Herb was practicing solo until 2006 when the need to bring in an associate arose. Jennifer decided to come on board and from that grew thriving a business relationship that led to the formation of Shugrue & Jackson in 2016.

Herb and Jennifer pride themselves on not only offering incomparable tax and financial services, but also in the way they treat their clients and the value they put on those relationships. Treating every single client, no matter the size, like they would treat their own family has always been a top priority.

Herb Shugrue

Herb began his career in accounting at Ernst & Ernst in the 70’s. From there he moved to Colorado where he was the CFO for Maytag Aircraft. In 1984 he decide to begin his own practice and has been working in Colorado Springs ever since. He brings over half a decade of knowledge and experience to the firm.

Jennifer Jackson

Jennifer brings her in depth knowledge of taxation for both businesses as well as individuals together with her specialized skills as a forensic accountant to offer clients a broad base of services. She began her journey into the field of taxation learning from her father and from there expanded her areas of expertise to include fraud investigation and forensic accounting.
